Fisheries Maintenance.

Because of poaching, fly tipping and the theft of a large quantity of materials destined to re-build swims at Decoy, the need to protect waters we own is critical. With this in mind, height barriers are being installed at both Decoy and George Cragg.

The renovation/restoration of George Cragg pond is well underway, permanent swims have started to be built and later in the year landscaping and planting will go ahead.

There is a possibility of grants being available for the construction of disabled swims at Decoy.

I would like to offer my thanks to all who have taken part in the workparties and to the ladies who provide hot drinks and snacks.

John Sachs, Fisheries Maintenance Officer.
