Groundbait or maggot feeder works well in conjunction with maggot, caster, worm or bread hookbaits .Look out for overhanging trees for chub. The pole or stick float scores in the more open stretches.
Bread and cheese paste are worth trying for the better chub .This is a good stretch to wander down with a spinner for pike.
There are two "stretches" of the Adur available to members-downstream from the road bridge to the weir on the Frylands lane side and upstream from the road bridge past the fork where the backwater
joins the main Adur up to the next weir. Parking is either in Frylands lane by (but don't block) the gate or in the lay-by on the main road by the bridge.
