Useful Bits

This page is to hold all the useful services, links and items that may be useful or interesting to other members. The items are not necessarily directly related to fishing.

I am happy to receive any links or services from other members and will consider items from a commercial source but would ask that commercial sources should make a donation to the club funds.

Long time member Rob Beattie has a fascinating fishing blog about his exploits on the river. He has also written a book- 101 golden rules of fishing.

John Wilson reviewed the book in the
Sunday Express and said:

"101 Golden Rules Of Fishing is 125 pages of
tips, wit, tackle, technique and etiquette,
well-illustrated with colour drawings. There
is something for everyone in this most
informative, charmingly off-beat, lovely
little book."

Robert McLean may not be known by may of you. I was introduced to him by his parents who are landlords at the Mill Pond.

He is a professional photographer and his web site Lens-Sparkle.com is worth looking at. There are some stunning images there including some places familiar to members.
